Easyjet will be cutting the number of flights over winter, to balance witht eh economic climate and the high fuel prices.
They said that their annual fuel costs have risen by about £185m and as a result, its annual earnings will be less than expected.
They are going to cut capacity at Stansted by 12% over winter and shares fell 3% after the news was announced. But, amidst fears that people will be cutting down on holidays because of the crunch, Easyjet's total number of passengers have continued to increase, with strong growth at Gatwick and on routes to France and Italy. Total revenue increased by 32% and passenger numbers rose aswell, by 16%, in Easyjet's third quarter. Despite this, they are cutting flights, as are Ryanair, who had previously announced they are going to cut 250 Stansted flights.

Reports in the press have suggested that mortgage payments, credit card bills and living costs are seeing more and more people dipping into their nest egg, that they have worked so hard to build up. What happens when this runs out?
Hopefully, the economy bounces back. Hopefully. Unfortunately, this doesn't look set to happen in the near future.
I think people may need to search online for personal or secured loans. Chances of being accepted are not as strong as before, but it may still be a good option if you know you can make the repayments.

I understand some people really enjoy gardening. I probably wouldn't mind it either, if I had a garden...
But I was reading on a site somewhere about the cost of gardening, and how you could save pounds by just having a look at these tips:
- Use cuttings of your favourite plants and flowers rather than going to the garden centre and paying through your teeth for the full plant. Obviously, ask first!
- Register with a gardening club or society
- Members often swap plants and seeds
- Forums are great for advice and support
- Use this one, or this one, for swaps
- Make seeding pots from newspaper. A useful demo is here.
- Make your own compost
- Make your own weedkiller

Many Brits who are less well off than their big spending counterparts are going without food due to the debt fears and budgetary squeeze.
A joint survey by chairty, NCH and Barclays, shows that one in five of the poorest Brits skip meals due to not being able to afford food.
The study also found that 57% of the group find it more of a struggle to afford meals than they did a year ago - and that around 12% have gone hungry over the past year, due to money worries.
The pollsters blamed poor management of personal finances along with rising food prices. Basic money management can help enormously when trying to cut down on weekly grocery bills, NCH said.

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) says 24,000 claims, worth £260m, were found to be dishonest last year. That equates to £5m a week in fraudulent claims.
These claims included one driver, who pushed his vehicle off a cliff and claimed it had been stolen, and an owner of a Rolls Royce who claimed £10,000 for the alleged theft of the front grill, hubcaps, steering wheel, seats and mascot on the bonnet, only for the items to be later found in his house. In another case, a woman claimed her foot slipped off the brake of a Land Rover, causing the vehicle to hit the front of the house, found later to be deliberate, as a result of a row with her partner.
These fraudulent claims led to honest motorists having to fork out an extra £40 a year on average for their premiums. It was also told that dishonest motor claims ahd risen by 70% over the past three years.
